Jahurul Islam Medical College is one of the most prestigious institutions in Bangladesh and it is 2nd oldest private medical college in Bangladesh which established in 1992 & it is affiliated by Dhaka University, approved by BM&DC (Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council) and recognized by NMC (National Medical Commission) and WHO (World Health Organization). Jahurul Islam Medical College is located at Bhagalpur in Bajitpur upazilla of Kishoreganj District which is 110km from Dhaka city & about 500 meters from Bajitpur Railway Station. This college is situated in 52.62 acres rural area along with self-academic building, separate hostel for girls & boys, staff quarters, hospital, canteen and a beautiful S shaped lake with plentiful of greenery that help the student to increase the focus on their studies. The college offers 5 years MBBS with 1-year compulsory internship and the academic calendar of this college starts from January.

This college is very strict about their Rules and Regulations:

  • Every student must follow the existing rules of the Jahurul Islam Medical College and also the rules, which will be notified in future time to time.
  • Students must attend the classes punctually as per class routine. Students having shortage of requisite percentage of attendance or students with poor academic performance will not be eligible for sitting in the University Examinations.
  • Students must sit for all departmental and college examinations. The students must complete all system cards, term finals and ward final examinations in each subject. If any student fails to fulfill the internal academic requirements will not be considered for sitting in the University examinations.
  • Students must put on proper dress for attending classes & ward duties. For male loose shirts, trousers, shoes, long white coats and for female shallower, kameez, dupatta long white coats are recommended.
  • The working days of the college and hospital are from Wednesday to Monday. Tuesday is closed. During working days students are not allowed to leave the campus without prior permission of the principal. The list of holidays of the year is announced at the beginning of the year.

    1. The fastest way, take a flight from Kolkata airport (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport) to Dhaka Airport, then you can take a public transport to reach Jahurul Islam Medical College. It takes around 2hrs 45 min – 3 hrs.
    2. The cheapest way is by train, you can go Dhaka Cantonment by Maitree Express from Sealdah. After reached to Dhaka Cantonment, take a public transport for going to Jahurul Islam Medical College. It takes around 10hours.
    3. This is the most recommended 2nd cheapest and fastest way, take a flight from Kolkata airport (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport) to Agartala Airport, after reached Agartala take a public transport for going to Jahurul Islam Medical College. Time takes around 3hrs 15min

    In 2022-23 session, Fees Structure of the college:

    Total fees of Jahurul Islam Medical College is US$ 41,000. At the time of Admission, you will pay, US$ 19,400 (including Admission fees, 1st year fees, Seat booking charge and University Registration fees. The remaining US$ 21,600 will be paid into 4 installment of US$ 5,400 each.
