BMC (Brahmanbaria Medical College) is affiliated by Chittagong University, approved by BM&DC and recognized by NMC & WHO. 

From 2018-19 session, BMC allowed admission for foreign students. Till now there are total 70 foreign students, have taken admission in this college. The college is associated with Brahmanbaria Medical Hospital which has more than 400 beds and its multi-specialties promise students the chance to interact with patients, with diverse needs, as well as hone their experience.

This is the most recommendation and fastest way, for that you have to take a flight from Kolkata (Subhas Chandra Bose) Airport to Agartala Airport, then you to reach at Akhura by train/taxi which is 5 kms from Agartala & it is the international border between India and Bangladesh. After reaching at Akhura, you can take a public/private transport to reach Brahmanbaria. (Approximate cost: US$35 – US$70)
  2. Secondly, this is second fastest way but a little bit costly. You can take flight from Kolkata Airport to Dhaka (time take 45mins) & from Dhaka you can reach to Brahmanbaria by a taxi (time take 1h 33min) (Approximate cost: US$82 – US$108)
  3. Additional you can choose the cheapest way, for that you have to book the ticket of Maitree Express which leaves from Sealdah Station to Dhaka Cantonment (4 times in a week) which takes 8hrs 25min. And after reaching Dhaka Cantonment you can book a taxi for going to Brahmanbaria Medical College directly & it takes approx. 1hrs. 32mins. (Approximate cost: US$35 – US$50)
  4. And another way is by car which takes 8h to reach Brahmanbaria from Kolkata. (Approximate fuel cost:US$61 – US$88)


Brahmanbaria Medical College is situated in the midst of greenery with ecofriendly environment, well-equipped classroom, Laborites, Library, Seminar Hall & Canteen. In the same campus within 100 meters, they have their own hospital, separate hostels for girls and boys, canteen, playground, swimming pool.
